Ma Durga

Durga is the ultimate Mother Goddess. She is fierce in her depictions. She is a warrior. A purifier. A fighter. This is the energy we are tapped into and and calling in. Durga is also a nurturer. A caretaker. A teacher. A space holder for the mending of wounds. A giver of unconditional love. She who heals so that we may live life as our highest selves. And while the fight is a part of the awakening we are experiencing at this time...we need to remember to withdraw and seek respite...to restore and tend to our injuries.

Change doesn’t come without exposing the underbelly of pain and suffering. The battle may clear what stands in our way, but it can also expose something far deeper that we must love and nurture as our Mother does us. That which we must mend and heal.  And so with the guidance of the great Ma we must honor these deeply humanizing aspects of ourselves and surrender to the evolution of the soul and all that encompasses and requires of us. Whatever wounds you are healing that you’ve recently exposed. Whatever trauma. Pain. Injury. See it.

Let us turn our gaze and our palms up towards the Divine Mother and beckon her forward to swoop in and cradle us in her enveloping embrace....nestled into the root of her heart...to bathe in the drum beat of her existence...and to receive the tenderness of her warmth and wisdom only she can offer. Let us allow her to show us the way so that we may do the work and begin to heal ourselves. So that we may be experience a resurgence of the soul as we are reborn into everything we were always meant to be and embody.
