Do not go gentle…

What if the beliefs you carry were never yours to begin with?

What if the stories of who you think you are were lies told by someone else who wanted to keep you small.

Small in thinking, small in size, small in stature, small in mind, small in voice.

Worse too, we all know when the stories have gotten so loud and chaotic that we can't not listen, and we believe them?

There's a theme that travels in yogic circles about letting go. It's so frequent that it's almost cliche. And cliche for a reason, really. We're always letting go. But what does that even mean, and why does everyone make it sound so simple??

What if we got more specific?

What if we put to death the ideas that kept us in that small space. That place of uncertainty, that place that has us second guessing, doubting ourselves, overthinking and seeking the opinions of others.

What if we divorce the standards and values of others in order to honor our gifts.

What if we cut it off at the source.

Stop the samskaras, the patterns we've weaved for decades, which are likely generational and stop running on repeat.

This wont happen today. But it could start today. Time is subjective for all of us, and never guaranteed. The question as we move onward, forward is whether we are willing to stand for ourselves, naked and afraid. Boundless, mindless, but embodied.  A little less connected, dizzy even, off center, questioning finally what we believe in our souls to be our callings. Our yearnings. Our hearts.

Have you had enough yet? Enough of the constant berating, enough of the negative self-talk, enough of the bullshit, enough of the excuses, the clamoring, the fear, the worry? Haven't you had enough?

If that's where you are, if you're annoyed, or angry with yourself, if your sick of it coming at you from every angle~ you're in the right place.

Because:

Self-realization often comes in a self-destructive fury.

We shall not allow anyone, including our turbulent minds to rule our lives, our bodies, our hearts our souls, our purpose. This is why we are here. To take our own power back. To cut away the thoughts of others, or the distortion of your own thoughts & to cut off the concern that we may be misinterpreted, misunderstood.

Because we will be. We will be mistaken, but if we stand in our truth, it will not matter.

Our knowledge is our power. But we can not know anything with the noise in our head.

And so we begin.

A battlefield against the marred mind. Fearing the death of it, so embedded and enmeshed in what we've considered the truth for so long that it will be the hardest work you've ever done to make it stop. Do not look away, It is integral to our ascent to depart from this form.

Do not go gentle into that dark night. We are here to be seen. We are here to be heard. We are here to live unabashed, gut instinct, intuition as our guide. Do not tamp down your truest nature. Your wild heart. And your deepest desires.
